Spain midfielder David Silva
How Group C looks after 2 games
1. Spain 4 points
2. Croatia 4 points
3. Italy 2 points
4. Ireland 0 points
Best Players:
1. David Silva-Spain: You could easily opt for Xavi, Andres Iniesta, or even Cesc Fabregas but the silky Silva has been world class. He had the crucial assist for Fabregas’ equalizer against Italy in their first game and scored the second Spanish goal today versus Ireland. He has been a menace on the right side, constantly drifting into space and delivering passes on the money.
2. Marko Mandzukic-Croatia: Overshadowed a bit by EPL talent Luka Modric and Nikica Jelavic, it has been Mandzukic making the most of his starting gig. A brace in the first match followed up by a huge goal against Italy that tied the game. His impressive size and soft touch makes him a nightmare to deal with in the penalty box.
3. Andrea Pirlo-Italy: The 33-year-old midfielder was written off last summer when he made the move from longtime club AC Milan to Juventus. The move rejuvenated him and his good form has continued. He scored arguably the goal of the tournament versus Croatia with a beautiful curling free kick that floated over the wall and landed in the corner of the goal.

Spain vs Croatia and Italy vs Ireland
We know the Irish have been mathematically eliminated. Italy is hoping they beat Ireland and have Spain defeat Croatia. However, if Spain and Croatia play to a draw, they will both go through.
